SHUPAT Spectrum Aquarium Extendable Freshwater Review

I used it for a terrarium and the light was fine for a while but now it won't come on. It just stopped. The return date has passed. Damn.

I got the backlight with no instructions and no remote control to switch modes. When the light is fully functional it will change my mind. I'm disappointed at the moment.

Probably planted bright enough for ten gallons. Not enough light for my plants to thrive in my 15 gallons. Had to use it in my aquarium with artificial plants. Blue light is great for neon lights.

Bulbs spoil good light but after a few months of use one of the three bought started flickering. According to those I chatted with, the warranty has expired. I understand that the warranty is less than three months.

.if you don't mind algae! Because it is so bright, you can almost watch the algae grow. I reduced the bright light time from 9 hours to 5 hours with some improvements. I only have a 5 gallon tank so it might work better with a larger tank although it fits mine very well.

REALLY good price! It's a simple product, no frills, but you get everything you need for aquarium lighting, even live plants. It has the multispectral lighting (not just white LEDs, it has blue and red light) that plants need, which can't be found anywhere else at this price point. Definitely worth buying! Great fit, as are the more expensive tank led strips. It is thin and looks very stylish.

If your aquarium is on the limit, go one size up. I have a 24" tank, 20 gallon, stock rim and ordered one for 18-24" instead of 24-36". I was just concerned that my arms would be so outstretched that I wouldn't be able to be as stable. And that's exactly what I got, it's just too stretchy for my tank and sags or bends in the middle.
