I use these handle covers on my cast iron skillets. I have found it necessary to place the handle lid on the pan just prior to handling and not leaving the lid on the handle during cooking as it gets hot and defeats the purpose of the lid.

If it only had a hole in the handle instead of just a circle it could have a hole. That would be a 5 star rating. I use a hanging rod and pot hooks so I had to cut my own holes which wasn't easy or very attractive. Please make holes for us and I will buy more.

We bought these as a gift for a chef so he didn't have to carry a towel/pan holder to take the cast iron pans out of the oven and/or turn them over the flattop in their restaurant. but the silicone still gets hot enough that oven mitts are still needed. Fail. Good on a normal household stove.

I have two pans (a 12 inch Walmart stock) and an 8 inch antique. Both don't fit. They work and keep the pen cool. I'll zip it up so it won't fall off. FYI they will still get hot if placed on a grill or open fire and exposed to radiant heat.

Such a good product. Also fits in my pan. But oddly, silicone cases get hot! My husband took it off and replaced it with our old fabric that burned through and I wanted to replace it. I moved it further away from the base of the handle and that helped. But it certainly wasn't perfect. Spring.

Bought for my cast iron pans. Previously, handles were too hot to touch. Now the handles are no longer a burn hazard and I can use my pans without having to search for oven mitts to move the pan. They fit all sizes of my cast iron set and are easy to put on and take off. There are ribs or ribs on the inside of the grip caps that, when you grip the cap, grip the grip on the inside. I highly recommend it.

The most important thing to know about cast iron cookware is that it can get very hot and retain heat for a long time. I'm surprised at how great they've worked for us. We almost exclusively use cast iron pans for all of our meals. I've always bought super expensive silicone holders from big name chains. I didn't expect such quality, but I'm glad I was wrong! They work just like the brand that was three times the price.
