Works for about 5 tapping cycles

Pressed - easy to install. Has stopped beating completely. about an hour. Nothing happens now. I think the spring or the valve inside must have broken by now. No quality product or our normal water pressure is too high for this.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Finally some peace and quiet for rough plumbing

Our home has high water pressure which is fine for showering and faucet use but causes a lot of water hammer noise / potential damage to our fixtures. This device is the ideal solution for cushioning shocks in the dishwasher, reducing noise and reducing wear on the appliance's water valves. Easy installation.

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Works as expected - no more knocking when parking after filling up the tank

Worked well - I have two toilets that once filled with sharp water hammer. I installed one on each of them, and now the shutter is silent: the tank is filled, and then it just quietly stops. No hammer, no knock. I'm thinking of adding the same to faucets. Recommended - works great!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Didn't quite work for us

If it helped our water hammer, it didn't help much. Worth a try, but your mileage may vary. It also didn't seal well for us on the valve side, so leakage was very slow - the o-ring was in a different location than the o-ring on the hose. Teflon tape might fix that, but since a real hammer didn't help, I didn't bother.

  • Free for educational purposes

Adapted to 1/4 " tubing for humidifier

Just installed so no word yet on how well it stops shock. I ordered this type by mistake as my Aprilaire 800 comes with a 1/4" copper cable and this unit comes with 3/8" M/F fittings. The 1/4" unit I found said it was only good for 60psi, which is a bit low for me , it said 250psi See the picture of the adapters purchased in HD to make it fit, just cut the existing copper a few inches below and use some of the pieces in 2 bags to make new connections in the parts bag labeled LFA-109 and LFA-157

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Operating speed

Works great so far, gone water hammer

I bought this water hammer arrester to stop water hammer that was happening every time my dishwasher was running and I regret not buying it this year. It literally took 5 minutes to install the device and my problem was completely solved. When I first installed it there was a very slight leak (a drip every few minutes from the compression fitting) but I attribute that to user error. I fixed the leak by removing the outgoing umbilical, cleaning it and more carefully aligning the compression…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some little things
