We've been looking for a replacement for our old fabric oven mitts that we've had for 15-20 years. I didn't know silicone pads existed until I saw Revain! With a little reluctance we went ahead and bought them. After about a month of use I can honestly say the silicone pads are working great! Silicone is easy to rinse off, they can open jars and of course pull hot stuff out of the oven.

I have gloves that are worn on each finger, I like to control the grip of things but they didn't handle heat very well and I had to to move fast. These silicone mittens have amazing heat resistance, you don't even have to worry about liquids like you would with gloves. The only reason I didn't give full stars is because you have to be careful when taking things. A silicone glove, unlike a glove, makes it difficult to grip things with your hand.

Excellent set. And maybe others that are just as good or better, but I'm happy with this one. I've been trying to find some pot holders that actually save my hands from burning. I have to have seven or eight different pairs, and all they're good for is cleaning windows. I have it in WoW! They really work! What I take out of the oven won't burn my hand. These potholders are the best I've ever had. Good heat resistance, easy to clean with silicone palm (just rinse under running water) and lining is material and comfortable unlike all silicone gloves. They also look great when you give them as a gift. It comes with two silicone countertop heaters, which we also often use to protect the countertop from hot pans. Nice added bonus. If you are looking for oven mitts, these should meet your needs.

I prefer the oven mitt that goes over the arm as I used to burn myself there. For my use they could be even longer for long oven runs. I put a black rubber mat on the stove and place a hot pot on top and it absorbs the heat perfectly. The honeycomb pattern is a little difficult to wash and dry, but I'm still happy with this set. The mittens are thick, with a rubber palm and rubber back, each mitten, both left and right, definitely protects against burns; but I wish they were longer.
