No advantage for me. in networking products

I was hoping for a slightly stronger signal by replacing the standard antennas on my Linksys EA 6900 router. So for me it was of no benefit. I'm not sure under what conditions this would happen or if the active electronics would somehow need to detect a different antenna, but at least the Linksys EA6900 either already had better antennas or didn't know what to do with them.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Available in white only

Came broken for network antennas

Some parts were bent, tried to bend them back to be usable, but even then it didn't work. At least it was cheap. I can't imagine it working even if it wasn't DOA.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Great, but needing USB for Bluetooth is annoying

I had some decent mini PCIE wireless and Bluetooth combo cards lying around from broken laptops, so I decided to try one of these adapters. . Everything works as expected. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth have a better signal than I got with the laptop the card came from. It's just a problem that I need to connect USB when the laptop can work with both WiFi and BT via mini PCIE interface. I was expecting one PCIE to convert to the other with little change, but I don't think it is.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Reliability
