My daughter bought this pattern just for her coat.

Daughter bought this pattern just to use the coat as a costume. She dressed up as a spider for the school play and was meant to have a steampunk vibe. As she is only 13 years old and not tall, she had to shorten the pattern a bit to fit her. Otherwise there were no problems. She had no trouble following the instructions as she sewed it herself and it was ready in about 2 days.

not as hard as it looks

I took this pattern for a special occasion and was very happy with the result. I consider myself an advanced seamstress and had no problems at all with this pattern. (The biggest challenge was dealing with the sheer amount of fabric in the skirt.) I made mine out of satin, but if I were to make another, I'd try wool fabric. One thing to note is that while the bustier has a "backbone" of sorts, it doesn't support at all. If you're busy upstairs, you'll either want to wear a more functional…

Easy to use, even for beginners!

I purchased this pattern solely for coats and am very happy with the finished project. I am new to sewing (only 2 weeks) and found the pattern and sewing instructions easy to understand. I changed the pattern, shortened the coat and removed the sleeves, ruffles and lining and it turned out exactly as I hoped.
