Great price for hex head structural bolts

Good structural bolts at a good price, time will tell. I bought these to attach 2x12 steps to a corner iron. The hex head is easier to use than the star screws I bought to attach the bracket to the stringers. The price is also very good. In most cases I prefer to use structural screws instead of grommets.

Pros
  • Connectors installed using SD bolts coded in ICC-ES ESR-3096 imported
Cons
  • Drill pack

Strong product but a bit difficult to use.

Positive torque first. These things are tough! Make sure you use a good quality screwdriver bit for installation, the heads cut your good ones Bits from Harbor Freight or Wal Mart after just a few screws Cons I used them to install joist hangers on a machined 2x6 for a porch cover, the fact they have a pin instead of a cutting tip made them difficult to fasten so you can imagine the frustration of working with a slow startup screw combined with driver bit rounding as I mentioned.

Pros
  • 1/4" hex drive reduces eccentric for easier installation
Cons
  • Legacy model

Equivalent to IBC for use with PT wood.

Purchased to solve the connection point issues of some structural steel beams with pressure treated window sills at my shop. The building authority requires hot-dip galvanizing for all PT connections. Truss Maker is supplied galvanized. It doesn't seem like anyone makes hot drop screws that I could find. The only option seems to be stainless steel. These found and the coating applied to these bolts is IBC compliant for use by PT. I contacted the building department and they approved it and said
