🍺 2.5" Diameter Single Tap Chrome Draft Beer Kegerator Tower Review

I bought this to replace an old worn out faucet, it was a bit of a problem putting a new one on top of the old one, the new holes in the base plate didn't match the original ones, they were much smaller in diameter . I had a friend make a spacer using the old holes and adapting the new faucet to the spacer. worked great.

I will do this work but it is definitely of poor quality. The gasket that came with the kit doesn't actually fit the bottom of the turret. Mine came with 4 bolts and 4 nuts, but 3 nuts were the wrong size for the bolts. You get what you pay for. As mentioned, I'll do the work, but even cheap furniture is just the right size.

This works surprisingly well. I was surprised that it was insulated all the way to the faucet, so you can just poke a big hole in the top of your minifridge and automatically get a kegerator that keeps the line cool down to the faucet. There was a little padding underneath and I didn't feel cold air coming out when it was cold.

This is a small tower. If I could do it again I would make the tower taller so the cold air flow would be more efficient. Another thing looks good and has a high quality chrome finish. The base is not adjustable so make sure you get the mounting holes right before drilling anything. I think the tower is a bit short. That's fine for CO2 cravings, but I use nitro cravings and the 22oz jar doesn't fit under the nitro faucet.

I tried this cooling tower and had an internal failure where the hose inside came loose under pressure. It went fine for a couple of weeks, then it just came off and spattered everywhere. Luckily I was there and was able to prevent it from hitting the whole room. I had it replaced as it was under the return window.
