The stock antenna worked better than this

The stock antenna worked fine for a year then it failed. So I got this (motorcycle) and it barely lasted 6 months before it started failing. Twice as expensive! Back to the $25 version.

Works great with car electronics

I've read that these antennas stop working after a while. My old one was still working, but I kept seeing the old "receiving a signal" message more and more often and for longer. I installed it on my roof and it seems to be working fine. I still get the "receiving signal" message, but not as often. I will give an update in a few months.

Sirius antenna OEM radio

After a quick search I found this antenna for my Sirius Stiletto 2 radio. I'm sure it will work on other satellite radios too, just check before ordering. This seller has the lowest price and if you buy 2 of these you get free shipping which is always a revain bonus. .Important to note that this antenna is an OEM antenna. Often, even after reading the product description, it's still not entirely clear whether what you're getting is OEM or generic junk. It's totally OEM and exactly what you…

Not long enough for the place I wanted to install it.

I wanted to mount this antenna over the rear window of my newly purchased car just like any other car that had a Sirius radio. Unfortunately she was missing about 2 feet. I usually mount them just above the center of the rear window, route the cable around the window, through the trunk, along the underside of the door frames and behind the dash to the radio. I had to thread it through the sunroof to connect to the radio. Hence a lost star. Otherwise a very good antenna. Good reception even in…

Antenna cable connector needs reinforcement

I bought this antenna about 3 months ago because my original antenna cable broke just below the connector collar. This new antenna was working fine until last week when I started getting an "Antenna Cannot be Found" message on my Sirius Starman 5 receiver connected to the sleeve that holds the plug. The receiver is in the car and is not exposed to adverse conditions. I have to remove the receiver from the docking station every day, but I don't hold the docking station by the cables when…

LACK OF QUALITY at Autoelectronics

Dear Sir or Madam, The Sirius micro antenna was delivered on time and worked as it should; Unfortunately, the cable is so stiff and inflexible as my previous Micro Spot antenna that after two uses the cable broke (almost like a pair of scissors) about five inches from the antenna head, causing the receiver to hear the "signal." received" or "Signal received" showed "Antenna not working". discovered." At first I thought the problem was with the antenna attached to the base unit that powers the…

Sirius Dot Car Audio Antenna

I bought this antenna because I prefer the low profile antenna to the higher profile antenna that comes with the Sirius tuner. It came in a plastic bag rather than retail packaging but did come with a lid for a very neat install. I installed it on the center rear roof of a 2006 Avalon and routed it around the rear window seal, into the car through the trunk, up the right side behind the center dash and I had about 3 feet left when I arrived at the tuner. This is a very high mileage, so the…

Works well and is inexpensive.

I had an SV300 receiver in another car and using the supplied antenna on my new car's dashboard just didn't work. Too many places where my new Kenwood car radio and *300 should have done well where it worked before didn't. This antenna was installed on the roof of my car next to the tailgate (new Subaru Impreza station wagon). I carefully threaded a cable from the rear roof into a slot at the top of the tailgate and ducked into a rubber boot (one on each side of the hatch with a small cutout so

Much better than expected.

I don't often give five stars, but this article deserves it. I'm still a relative noob when it comes to satellite radio. So if I had a dashboard mounted antenna, I would lose signal depending on the direction of my car. I tried a different roof antenna but it didn't work properly unless I was facing north or east. behind the headliner, a trip to the A-pillar and Sirius receiver. There is enough cable even for my larger than average Volvo 940 Van. Now I get a full signal regardless of direction,

Pros
  • Like all before

  • Definitely a bad product
