Enhanced SiriusXM Universal Remote Control v2.0 Review

I've spent less on non-genuine remotes for various devices and have almost always been at least a little disappointed. This remote is a perfect match for SiriusXM receivers, both in quality and looks. This is one of those cases where you can buy a cheap half-price remote two or three times or buy the real deal once and that's it.

I bought this to replace the one I bought with my Sirius/XM radio which I bought ten years ago. I was disappointed, the old man died ten years later. I tried going without the remote for a couple of weeks and then I had to turn it on because it's very convenient. I was skeptical to buy it because with electronics you never know if it will work and if it's real. He does what he has to do, no more and no less. Hopefully it will last at least ten years.

My rating is for use with the new Commander Touch only. That remote doesn't work out of the box on the new Commandor Touch, mistake number one. You must first download the update to your hard drive and then to Command Touch. Also, I don't like the fact that there aren't any nipples or any other feel for any of the buttons (like on the previous commander's console) to use the remote without looking. I recently purchased a SiriusXM Commander color touchscreen radio with touchscreen and instrument cluster. for some reason sirusxm decided not to include this on the radio. this thing is a life saver. has many buttons but you only use some of them.
