Less than a year old, two of the 4 sets I bought need replacing. Manufacture date is March 2021. Get a replacement although I really don't want the same Sitterwell brand!

Battery life estimated at 10 years. We've only had them a few months and the batteries in all the alarms are already dead and the batteries can't be replaced and to make matters worse we can't even replace them because the replacement period has expired. Very unlucky!

Bought this smoke alarm for our motor home to replace our old ones. After activating and installing one of these, the light flashed, but the device never chirped as described. Then a day later, the device turned off without blinking or anything. So much for a 10 year old battery. Another new one activated, it works a bit but now you can't turn off the device. Bad product. Wouldn't even give one star.

Bought and installed shortly after receipt. Today at one o'clock in the morning they started to walk. They were installed in <3 months. It is impossible to disable them. Right now it's lying under a pile of pillows trying to turn down the volume. Unfortunately it's Friday night and the garbage won't be picked up until Wednesday, so we'll have to listen to this until it's garbage day. And no, I checked the house about 5 times, there is no fire and no way to turn them off.

3 of 4 did not work. The first activated as instructed while the other 3 did not activate and "didn't work". Didn't beep or turn red when they were supposed to activate after holding the button for 5-10 seconds. Pretty disappointing. I bought them specifically for the magnet backing and free hard wire installation, but now I have to buy new ones elsewhere. money thrown away. I also tried googling how to fix or troubleshoot them to enable them and nothing showed up.

This is for my basement kitchen. We need battery power because there is no electric cable. It's easy to install. It offers a mount but I just used the included sticky pad which works pretty well. I tested it once as recommended. Just hold the button for 3 seconds and you will hear short beeps. It's easy to check because we mounted it on a wall that can be reached without a ladder. *** 1 year update *** The sticker/magnet on my second one failed after about 9 months. Can you guess what happened? It also fell about 10 feet, broke, and I had to open it up to stop it chirping. As soon as I activated this alarm according to the instructions it started roaring in my ear. If you click silence it will only pause for a few minutes (not 10 as instructed). I tried an emergency disable and the only effect was to go into continuous alert mode.
