Description of SK Hand Tool 40024 Socket

SK PROFESSIONAL QUALITY: SK hand tools, including our sockets, are manufactured to rigid specifications. Quality control at every step of the production process ensures that each SK socket tool delivers exceptional performance and meets/exceeds global standards. SUREGRIP DESIGN: This set features SK's SureGrip hex drive design, which drives the side of the fastener, not the corner. This not only provides increased strength, but also avoids the rounding of rusted or damaged fasteners, which can occur when using a sharp-cornered hex tool. DURABLE SUPERKROME FINISH: High polish SuperKrome plating results in a toughest, jewelry like finish, providing long life and maximum corrosion resistance to your 6-Point Cold Forged Steel Socket. RUGGED STEEL CONSTRUCTION: This chrome socket is cold forged with high alloy US steel for maximum strength. Manufactured from durable materials to give superior service year after year and to last a lifetime with proper care and usage.

Reliable Socket for DIY auto enthusiasts

Based on our own experience, this socket set is dependable and well-made. The socket fits snugly on the bolt, making it easy to apply the necessary TORQUE without slipping .While the price may be a bit higher than some other options, the build quality and useful range of sizes make it a worthy purchase..

Pros
  • Durable and strong construction
Cons
  • Pricey compared to other socket brands

I called SK and they told customer service that this SK is different from SK Wayne. The old SK went out of business in 2010. Their manufacturers build their instruments differently. Do your research properly when buying. The tools may not be what you need. I was unable to use this socket and had to return it to Revain. I found a 24mm deep socket that worked for me.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Protection
