Enhance Your Skateboarding Experience with Black Diamond's Old School Plastic Skateboard Rails + Mounting Screws Review

The splints are uniform and made of good hard plastic. Slides well and very fast. The only problem I have is that the screws don't hold well in my board. I use a Santa Cruz VX deck and after several sessions I had to replace 4 of the 8 screws because they fell out or didn't hold up anymore. I ended up with a larger, slightly longer screw.

I'm an old boarder who uses rails for additional purposes. 1 high quality and excellent service. 2, if you had guides before, use the original screws. If you haven't, the included screws will work just fine. DO NOT attempt to use new screws in old holes. Rschunimagu. Designing basic dimensions is beyond the scope of many reviewers. Rails are rails but the equipment that came with them was terrible. Shown are countersunk screws instead of flat heads. I knew it was schematic but installed them anyway. Fall off within ten minutes. Wood glue in the screw holes and the structure gluing it to my board. My son and I have 3 boards with bone guides and they are solid. Take the Bones guide. (I just liked the color of these diamond rails, so I gave them a try.)

The rails are high quality, but the fittings in the kit are junk. The strip will stick your hole in or out of the board very easily. And if you test one of these out before actually mounting it to the board, you'll find that there's no way to move the screw more than about 1/16-1/8 inch. So basically it only goes up to the first layer. I replaced the strong parts with a couple of screws I had on hand, about 3/8" long, and they worked much better.
