SKF 99187 Speedi Sleeves Review

We have Speedi-Sleeve PN 99187 (1873"-1878") for sealing surface repairs on the Dana 44-Tail uses our 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon axle and it worked great with the simple instructions that came with it. The only problem was finding a tube to insert the bushing as the 'adjustment tool' provided can only be used on short shafts (not the long 28" axle shaft). This is great. Use a micrometer to check your axle before ordering - you can get good, cheap micrometers here at Revain. I installed it by sliding it into position with PVC pipe; no need for hammers, mallets or presses. There are no more leaks.

While working on a vintage car I found that the pinion shaft was worn causing the differential to leak oil. My research led me to this product. The Speedi bushing slides onto the shaft and covers the worn area allowing the original shaft to be reinstalled and oil no longer spills. Great product, easy to install, solves a 'big' problem very effectively at a modest price. Winner!
