Exactly what the doctor ordered

refueled my saw and now it works great again with minimal bearing noise. Long overdue, the old oil was very dirty. So I drained the oil, it's not much oil, then I filled it up, ran the saw for 5 minutes to warm it up, then drained it again, then filled it up again. now it should be good to go another 10 years!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • When in doubt

Does the job very inexpensively

Bought this old saw at a thrift store, didn't think it would work, paid $10 for it. I brought it home and it does indeed work, but note that there was no oil in it. I ordered oil from Revain, filled it up and it's the best saw I've had in a long time. This oil brought my saw back to life this oil is recommended for this saw it is also very reasonably priced.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, it's fine

Mandatory for worm drive owners

If you love your saw like I love my ski saw, do yourself and your saw a favor and change the oil according to the manufacturer's instructions. It doesn't take long, it's easy. Make sure you don't overstuff/overflow. (The manual will tell you, or if you have a chainsaw it will tell you on the oil cap where to add oil. Keep your saw running like new! Definitely a must have for worm drive saw owners.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Some bugs

Too Thick?: Power & Hand Tools

I bought this oil for my DeWalt auger saw but it doesn't match the oil in my DeWalt so it's not included and it's not 85W-140 gear oil , which Dewalt recommends as the correct oil, so I will only use it in my Skil worm drive and use the correct oil that DeWalt recommends for my worm drive saws. I didn't feel like I got a lot of SKIL 80111 Worm Drive Saw Lubricant for the price but it is the right oil for Skil worm saws.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • So So

Suitable oil for this saw

I bought this saw used and found that the previous owner had not changed the oil so I ordered this one. I've watched a few videos of people wondering which oil to switch to. It's better to use what the factory recommends. When I pulled the cork out to see the oil, it looked like molasses. After running the saw for a few minutes to heat it up, I drained it and replaced it. It's 8 ounces. a tube. It can be enough for two oil changes.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Don't forget to lubricate those worm gears regularly!

This is a must for every owner of a worm gear. Most people don't think about gear lubrication until the saw starts to fail. However, I add lube every 12 months and have been drinking for 30 years. Over the last 30 years I've built many houses and done a ton of other projects with my skill worm driver and it still works like new. Keep your gears greased and you'll have a family heirloom to pass down to your children and grandchildren.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Auger Saw Oil Skil: Power and Hand Tools

These great saws are sold in many places. None of them sell lube. Find out. Thank you Revan The price is good and I got exactly what I need. I've spent more on gasoline looking for the right lube than the cost of a pipe. Few people even change the lubricant in these wonderful saws. I got it as a gift as it was heavily used and had a bad switch. I switch is easy to find and replace. I replaced the derailleur, cleaned it, changed the oil and now you can ride another 100,000 miles or 5 years…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Band

The right thing. Don't forget to rinse.

HD77M ski saw rebuild I bought and this oil is for the same. I've read that any gear oil will work, even Slick 50, but the saw is old and I didn't want to risk it. I drove for a few minutes and drained the old oil. The procedure says to use kerosene for flushing, but I'm trying to avoid using combustible materials in the basement repair area, so I used a Lucas fuel system treatment. Oil-based, odorless, non-flammable and with good cleaning properties. I flooded it with Lucas treatment, walked 2
