Much better than expected

I was hesitant to buy it but very glad I did. (used on a week long canoe trip in the Adirondacks). Did an excellent job of keeping the canoe dry but even better at keeping it clean (fine gravel, mud). The material grabbed and held sand and small pebbles so you could wipe down the bottom and throw abrasive materials back into the lake.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Reliability

Appears to be a small size.

I give 3 just because of the size. . Much smaller than I thought given the price. You might think you could be more generous!. It arrived on time, was well made and seems to work in my kayak but it would be fun if you wanted a boat. Can't confirm they are correct on how much water it holds (32 ounces?).

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Outer layer fell apart after very little use

I only had this sponge for one summer and the outer layer fell apart. It still works but very soon the sponge inside will fall out and I can't secure it with anything. I mostly kept it indoors and I didn't use it much. I haven't soaked it in anything other than fresh lake or river water to help my canoe and kayak, so I don't think I've done anything crazy with it. I advise against buying this sponge.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Good product! for water sports

super! I bought this for an overnight kayaking adventure on the lake. We had big boats that went very fast and created a wave that splashed into our kayaks. I just sucked up the water with my skwoosh and squeezed it out. It worked great. And since it had a strap I was able to attach it to the net at the front of the kayak and not have to worry about it falling off or getting lost. Worked perfectly for me and I was very happy I found this and made the purchase. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • boring packaging

Worth the money

I was afraid to spend more than ten bucks on a sponge but a friend pointed out her protective kayaking gear so I gritted my teeth and ordered it. I have to say it was worth it. A dollar sponge wouldn't hold up in salt water, but a skwoosh sponge will soak up water! I was and still am amazed at how well this skwoosh sponge really works, absorbing tons of water and drying my kayak cabin to the last drop. I think the ripple actually picked up a bit by the time I finished the call lol. So far itโ€ฆ

Suitable for light use - Sport

It is what it is. Don't expect much for $16. It absorbs after you break it for a while. Initially, the outer suede layer does not absorb moisture well. You have to push the sponge into the water (which pushes the air out) and then the sponge soaks up the water. When I sit in a kayak and paddle, it's a bit annoying. I want to throw a sponge in the water and it's automatically absorbed. After prolonged use, it will begin to absorb by itself. That's the problem. After you break the sponge, itsโ€ฆ

Very good bilge

I think I gave this product a negative review when I decided I did it too soon. This sponge didn't absorb anything at first. Like the water was pushing the whole block away. The microfiber exterior seemed to shed water and the sponge inside didn't hold water at all. I used a sponge, the sponge I bought certainly didn't last as long as the sponge. I had that many, many years ago, but I did it because that bilge sponge from skwoosh didn't absorb anything at all, that is until this summer. Somehow

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Modern
