Description of Slice Engineering Boron Nitride Paste

Thermal paste for improving conduction. Acts as a release agent. Unlike anti-seize compounds, Boron Nitride is not electrically conductive, which eliminates the risk of shorting out your heater cartridge or thermistor. Use the included applicator to coat the cartridge heater hole in your 3d printer heat block. Insert the cartridge heater while the paste is still wet, then let dry. The boron nitride boosts dissipation of heat from the hot section of the cartridge heater, improving its life. Retails in 5 cc syringes with luer lock fittings. Stable to 1000 °C.

Good stuff but dries quickly.

The thing is great and works great. But if you live in a hot climate like I do in Arizona, it will dry up in a few months. And it lasts for a year if you don't use it every day. But if you use it once or twice a week, one syringe is enough. But I had a cap and mostly kept it in a pocket and now it's dry and doesn't stick to anything or go between the grooves. It's not as hard as rock, it still looks like it might work, but it's not as "wet" or (everyone's favorite word) "WET" like it was when I

Pros
  • Use the included applicator to cover the heater cartridge hole in your 3D printer's heater block. Insert the heating cartridge while the paste is still wet, then let it dry. Boron nitride improves heat dissipation from the hot part of the cartridge heater and increases its lifespan.
Cons
  • High price

Terrible company, overpriced pasta and packaging

I don't know what some of these reviews mean. My temperatures were stable before, so it didn't make a noticeable difference. The whistle throws out the past, so handle it carefully. I can't understand how much more expensive this is than CPU thermal paste. Actually I can understand it. The hot end is twice the price of the competition and doesn't even come with attachments. This company rips people off. Their entire product line is overpriced and hyped. They returned the hotend, nozzle…

Pros
  • Retail sale of 5ml syringes. see luer lock connectors
Cons
  • Some small things

Makes a difference, worth the price

Had to replace an all metal hot end due to a sticking set screw. When I got a new one, I decided to try this paste. I've only used it on the heating element in the heater block, but you can use it on the thermistor and where the hotend's cooling block meets the hotend's neck (note: although I thought this might help if there's plastic leaking out of the loose neck that hot end). On the other hand I wouldn't recommend this as I think it will be easy to get the paste in the filament path.). I…

Pros
  • Acts as a release agent
