Do you need 5VDC? Get this

Downstream screw terminals are a little smaller than pin headers. We're talking about a 0.02 volt difference, so I only used pin headers that were dead nuts of 5V, even up to 1A.

Pros
  • Board size: 5.7cm*2.3cm
Cons
  • Expensive

Zero Directions at Power Accessories

Zero Stars. There are no indications on the board and no indication of which direction the current is going. I've been on the internet for 15 minutes trying to figure out which side is the entrance and which is the exit. WOW

Pros
  • 5V output voltage
Cons
  • Doubtful older purchase

Excellent voltage regulator

I bought this to use on a 3D printer to install a level sensor. This thing keeps the voltage at 5V. I've never seen a voltage spike when testing with the load on and off. It also has 5 rows of additional 5V connectors. It's a really simple chip, well designed and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Please note that it is only suitable for 1.2A and is not designed for high loads.

Pros
  • Max output current: 1.2A
Cons
  • So far so good
