piss off! .May come with a broken cap and won't fit the blind spot plate

I was looking forward to this but when it happened it was just a sad day! sigh. First it came with a broken tip. (as shown in the picture), and second, it doesn't fit Blind Spot's Power Junkie NP-F multipurpose power supply.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Sony A7S III battery warning

This Smallrig product initially looked promising, especially since most of my rigs are crammed full of Smallrig parts, but when I fitted this dummy battery into my new A7SIII plugged in and the other end connected to the 8V port on my new Tilta battery, the camera made me aware of the safety and operation of the battery. It's not worth the risk, so I'm sending it back.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Does NOT work for Sony a6500

My fault for not reading the exact battery description (NP-FZ vs the a6500. However, it is clear that this is not the case. I am not sure how or why this review is still relevant when it is clearly wrong anyway I am sending it back and will have to look for another brand Quality seems good but unfortunately SmallRig doesn't seem to make it for the NP- FW battery to create.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No

DOESN'T WORK for Sony a6500

My fault for not reading the exact battery description (NP-FZ vs NP-FW) I mainly focused on the review from someone below who says it's for a6500 works. However, it is clear that this is not the case. I'm not sure how or why this review is still relevant if it's clearly wrong. However, I am sending it back and will have to look for another brand. The quality seems good, but unfortunately SmallRig doesn't seem to make it for the NP-FW battery.

Good adapter, cable could be better placed for Sony A6400

I prefer the straight cables on my camera to the thicker coiled cables. I bought it for this reason and it works great. The only problem I had was the cable coming out of the middle of the bottom of the device. I have a Sony A6400 and there is a small plug on the side of the battery cover for the battery cable. Other cameras may have the cable flap in the middle and work fine, but the A6400's battery flap puts pressure on the cable due to the crease. I didn't want that, so I opened up the dummy

Pros
  • camera and photo
Cons
  • Doubtful

That's cool! I will use it when shooting with the A7SIII.

While Sony's newer Z batteries are better than the older W versions, when shooting video with the a7SIII you sometimes have to set up the kit in a way that makes it difficult to get to the battery compartment change them. This dummy battery cable allows me to place the dummy in the body and then disconnect it from one of the many batteries I already have that power my Atomos devices as well as many of my small LED lights. This is a key component of any sensible a7SIII setup, but remember, when…
