wish it came with additional/better instructions except *cake batter should be thick* - ok - I didn't have the cake batter they listed so I used something else - don me do not recommend simply cutting it. Also, regular frosting won't do - you need to have experience making candies (like truffles) to make a thin coating. Besides, it is a great gift for children.

I've had one for about a year now and have just bought two more. They make PERFECT size cake pops! The kids cake iron that makes 12 at a time makes the cakes really small, and the nostalgic cake pop/donut bakery actually makes them XL sized. This iron has served me well.
