Very reliable, good value for money, versatile

I liked the first one I bought so will buy another one. I have one for my stereo and TVs. I'll buy another one for my computer gear and printer, scanner etc. These products are very reliable as I didn't have to worry about power surges and of course you can save energy by using the main power supply as a point. by letting others "rest" while you're not using them instead of being "on standby".

Reduce Energy Consumption - Accessories & Consumables

Since my home was connected to a smart electricity/gas meter I have noticed a noticeable increase in my electricity consumption and bills. I found out about the energy saving "smart" power strip and thought this was one of the many ways I could use to reduce transient power consumption. It is used in my home office and allows my non-essential electronics to shut down completely when my computer turns off or goes to sleep. It works! This can also be used for home entertainment. I decided against

Worked for 2 days with surge protector

The device worked as advertised for 2 days and then the switched outlets stopped responding to the main outlet. I had a Yamaha AV receiver acting as the master, with all associated audio and video components occupying the switched outputs. It seems that the trigger point circuitry has moved to the point where it can no longer tell if the receiver is on or off. Reviews from 2007-2009 often mention the adjustment knob on the device, but this feature seems to have been "valuably designed". Mine…

Does what it's supposed to do

Update: I've had it for about a month now. I am satisfied with their performance so far. I would definitely order them again or recommend them to a friend. I bought two of these, one for the entertainment center and one for my desktop computer. I configured my desktop so that the monitor and smartwatch charger turn off when I unplug the tower, but the modem and router stay on the whole time. My entertainment center turns off the disc player, receiver and gaming system while keeping the lights…

You buy it for the same price as any other surge protector, but it has the added benefit of turning off devices that shouldn't always be on (vampire loads). You save money as soon as you use it! I have three at home. All over 5 years old and had no problems. The biggest benefit is turning off one device (TV or computer) as well as everyone else. That simplifies life enormously. A smartband connects to the TV and disables the receiver, old CD changer, Blu-ray player and active subwoofer. My…

Good product! for accessories and consumables

I have one and will buy a second one right away. Great for TV entertainment - I connect the TV to the "master" and then plug the Wii, Wii-U, Gamecube, VCR/DVD, BluRay and HDTV Booster antennas into switched outlets. I also have a sound system, computer and fan plugged into unswitched outlets. I've set the sound system to non-switchable so it can be used for the radio without the TV being on and the computer can't be plugged into a switchable outlet as it should turn off properly, but the…

Easy to install works as advertised

This is a surge protector that also serves to deal with "vampire power" which sounds really cool but really just means your electronics are drawing power even when they aren't included or in use. It's easy to use: you simply decide which devices you want to use always, which ones you want to manage your remaining devices, and which devices you want to keep only when you need them. I'm assuming most people use these for TVs, so I'll explain how I set mine up: Control Socket: TVAlways On: Router,

Fixes an issue with my TV's poor long-distance reception.

I wish I had known this product existed many years ago. I've connected a TV (Westinghouse LVM-42W2 42" 1080p LCD video monitor) and surround sound receiver (Sony STR-K995) since 2007. My TV's remote control has always been awful to use, even with various universal and learning remotes were used, the TV's IR sensor was never sensitive enough to the remote to reliably turn it on and off More recently, I've been using the RF remote that came with the TiVo Roamio, where the single TV Pwr button…
