Yes, it works. I don't really use this to hide my stash or keep herbs fresh. I actually use it to pack my TP when I go camping. Leave no trace! And it works great for my purpose.

Those were excellent bags. I bought these to store used toilet paper while hiking. They hid any smell and didn't let you see what was inside. They are small, light, easy to pack and carry. For what I used them for, they were great.

Not airtight so does not protect against odours. They received very good reviews, which raised a flag from the start, but once I tested one I realized why. I just wanted something that would work, so I went the other way. If you need privacy bags these are amazing. If you want bags to be smell proof, I have personally done so and would advise you to go the other way.

That doesn't match the reviews. I originally bought it because the description said it was odorless. However, zippers do not provide tightness. Within a few hours the smell had already started to trickle through. Luckily I tested it at home before making it public. I tried to reseal the bag and the zipper broke after the second time. I bought these for travel with protein powder, tea, ground cinnamon and ground cloves. Fantastic, leak-proof packaging so the protein powder doesn't leak out during travel! Whatever you decide to use them with, just remember they definitely don't stop odors from escaping. I still smell the stuff I put in it and as a scientist I'm very careful not to infect each other, use gloves and have one person hold the bag open while the other fills it with materials, keeping things off the zipper, etc... i.e. etc. If it's pilot error, then Neil Armstrong should take it. I give these 5 stars even though they don't keep the smell inside 100%. Why? They are affordable and ideal for use with glass containers. The packs are a good size and can be reused - although you'll obviously want to check for any holes or tears. While I think they retain most of the smell, the longer you keep something in it, the more you open the packaging, the more you play with it, the more likely the smell will leak out a bit.
