I found my woven fabric shifted a lot while making the punch needle. This was my first time using this type of frame and by the end of the process I found that everything stays in place better if I put extra fabric under the clips. I think this would work well for quilts.

These Q Snap frames are awesome. Now I have them in 3 sizes, and each hoop of a different size has a project. I love that you can tighten the hoop as needed because it drives me nuts when my hoop/hoop sags after a while of embroidering.
