Great for storing groceries

Great for buying flour and sugar in bulk. The handle easily carries a 10 pound bag of sugar. I bought two containers and the side flap on one of the lids was already starting to separate from the lid so I wanted that part to be stronger. All in all I still think it's a good purchase!

Good container but a little flimsy lid and locking mechanism

I bought 4 of these containers to store some expensive '00' flour. 4 of them could store 55 pounds of flour. The size is big, but the lid + handle is weak, don't just hold it by the handle when storing heavy items such as flour. Containers are stackable for easy storage.

It's great for my use

I bought it to store dog food. This works great for my use. Holds a lot of food and fits in my closet. I love that it's airtight so my dog can't smell where his food is stored (and protects him from other potential critters/pests). The handle is comfortable (sorry for the pun) since I feed them twice a day. I thought the four sides snapping up and down might be an issue (since the food container I used previously was just a lid), but I got used to the new lid easily. Plus, making sure their…

Leaks and wrong size

I was bitten by the problem that the container isn't even watertight because the box label was wedged in the lid when delivered. I was hoping this would be fixed by now, but. no In addition, the container is slightly tapered, so the dimensions given are not quite correct. The listing says it is 10.2 x 8.5 x 9.1 inches. The top size is 10 x 8.5 inches and the bottom is 9 x 7.375 inches. It is 9.1 inches tall as advertised. If you measure inside, the top is only 9.25 x 7.75 inches. The bottom is…

Fabulous for flour containers

Recently received 50# King Arthur High Gluten Flour for baking bagels and I needed a better way to store flour than glass containers or large plastic bags. I ordered three 40-cup Snapware containers with handles. Follow the directions and rinse well, remove the gasket from the lid and reassemble when everything was dry. These containers are awesome! I think they hold just over 10 pounds of flour in each container as I think four containers would hold all 50# flour except for two pounds which I…

Yes it will work

Found this while looking for a container to store extra flour that doesn't fit in my regular flour jar. It's a lot cheaper to buy 10 or even 25 pound bags of flour than 5 pound bags and when I bake, I bake a lot. The only problem was storing my dry goods after opening. While this isn't enough to store twenty pounds of flour, it's quite enough to store ten. The square shape is preferred in a storage container as you're wasting space if you use round ones. At first I had doubts about printing…

Its dimensions are advertised as "10.2 x 8.5". : Top - 9 1/2" X 7 7/8" With Lid Dimensions: 10" X 8 7/16" I realize this is a small thing, but when I take pictures and get it in less than 20 minutes, then the sellers here can do their best to provide really accurate measurements at every level. but smoke came from a corner. So I'm giving 2 stars for the container itself because it's a good container. And I'm removing 3 stars for the inaccuracy of the information and the seller's general…

Ideal for large quantities of flour.

I bought this container because I really needed to better store/use my 10 lb bags of flour during the upcoming baking marathon (especially since nearly all bags of flour I ordered arrived with tears constantly "spitting out" I have a lot of really big jars, but while they can be good for storage (they are), they certainly aren't "useful" because of their shape, and "flour every time you've touched the bag." I wanted a wide container with straight sides.I was so happy when I found this one and…

Nice design, doesn't last long, overpriced

I bought this to store bananas with BlueApple food preservative: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P87B16M/ref =ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It works great with BlueApple, so right after installing it I give it 3 stars for its performance. The pouring of the silicone sealant into the plastic lid is thought out to the smallest detail and has an excellent design. But experience tells me that the four hinged sides of the lid, which act as clips to keep it sealed, won't last…

OMG If only I had gotten this a few years ago!

(You can see in the photos how big it is compared to the 1 gallon vinegar container and the large glass vase of flowers. I also put a napkin on it to show it's very good , when the handle bottom is flat.) We buy and use a lot of sugar. I usually buy in 10 pound bags. Then he sits curled up in the closet, open to the humidity of the air or all sorts of vermin (fu). When you take it out and unwrap it, the sugar is everywhere. I have made! SIZE - It fits a lot. It was 1/4 full, I threw in a 10 lb…
