Excellent Base Brass Screws

There is not much to say about these brass screws. They are made of high quality material and do exactly what they are supposed to do. As a bonus, they come in a beautiful resealable plastic box that's easy to use in the workplace and great for storage.

Pros
  • Material: Solid Brass
Cons
  • Expensive

Not sure if they can twist the air without breaking

Snug Fastener bolts have been used in the past and had no problems but these #4 bolts are a big disappointment. When I finally had two out of ten attempts to attach the jewelry box lid, the hinge broke and two screws in the wood lost their heads. I found a #4 brass screw at a local hardware store that did the trick. Sorry Snug, I just wasn't satisfied with this product and it annoyed me so much that I probably won't buy Snug Fastener again.

Pros
  • Drive Type: Phillips
Cons
  • Not sure

What hasn't been said about a low head wood screw? This concept has been around since at least 100 BC. and is considered one of the "simple machines" that made civilization possible. The history lesson is over. This pan head screw is designed for countersunk installation. Brass is often a good choice where moisture can be a factor: brass does not rust. If the screw is visible and looks irrelevant, I think brass looks better than steel. But brass isn't as strong as steel, and Philips head slots…

Pros
  • Usage: Wood
Cons
  • Only available in black
