Super Fastening Screws

Ideal for small jobs or flushing out a toolbox, these screws are beautifully finished and work great. I have a lot left over from a recent small job and am glad to have this addition in my toolbox. We have lots of Snug Fasteners and they come in an envelope or tub that you'll want to put in another container. Perfect.

Highly polished solid brass with a beautifully carved cross hole.

I always seem to end up with brass screws because I think they are brass and will inevitably rust after a few seasons outside. Solid brass is much more resistant to corrosion, so I will be replacing the mesh door hinge screws with these. It's a bright shiny brass with a nice cross hole that fits my screwdriver nicely. The screws come in a non-resealable plastic bag, so the screws are thrown into the small hard plastic container I keep for this purpose.

  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

What hasn't been said about a low head wood screw? This concept has been around since at least 100 BC. and is considered one of the "simple machines" that made civilization possible. The history lesson is over. This pan head screw is designed for countersunk installation. Brass is often a good choice where moisture can be a factor: brass does not rust. If the screw is visible and looks irrelevant, I think brass looks better than steel. But brass isn't as strong as steel, and Philips head slots…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
