According to my experience, these Furniture Hardware casters are not worth their price. Their flimsy quality causes them to break easily, which can ruin both your carpet and flooring. Tools and Home Improvement should know better than to sell such low-quality products. The only positive aspect I can find is that they are easy to assemble, but that hardly makes up for their overall uselessness. Save your money and invest in better casters.

I bought one of those heavy electric chairs. The legs were small and I was afraid they would damage my floor. Bought these pads and am very happy with them. If I want I can push the chair aside to clean it, but in normal use it doesn't move (important).

We have a new sofa with thin metal legs on hardwood floors (well, softer cork actually). I've tried felt pads but they didn't hold up well and I don't think they would work well to prevent cork from denting over time. I feel better because they distribute the weight over a larger area and are carpeted underneath. Good size and black color make them not catch the eye.
