Hey those are nails, what can I say. In my application, I still cut off the heads and file the shanks to be flush with the brass plates I attach. I have purchased from Rockler many times over the years - always satisfied with the quality of the product and their service. NOTE: Yes, this is SOLID brass, not plated brass like some cheap imitations.
