Funny feeder for small birds. Yes, large birds will initially land on it, but quickly lose interest because it takes a lot of effort for them to eat. I have baffles on all my feeders so I don't have a problem with pesky critters.

Exactly what I wanted. Small feeder, strong. Looks like hard plastic. Small birds feed well in it, while larger ones are not happy with the design. I have other larger feeders that are suitable for all birds (and squirrels) but this one is only for small birds and is in a different location.

Ideal for small birds such as finches. Other bird feeders attract a wider range of birds, including crows and other large birds that scare off smaller birds. With this feeder, the big birds will lose interest when they find they can't get anything out and leave. Now I can enjoy watching finches and sparrows feed in peace without the pesky grackles and crows hanging around.

I've had this feeder since 2011 and it's one of my favorites. I fill it with oiled sunflower seeds for my little birds like chickadee, junco and titmouse. Larger birds cannot feed on it as well. I only had to replace it because it collapsed two stories down from hanging from a branch and we had a terrible hurricane last week. It is easy to fill and easy to keep clean.

I bought this because I'm tired of giving all my seeds to grackles that flock to my feeder. It makes them a little harder to get the seed, but they still get it. It's true that they can't sit comfortably, so they swing back and forth, causing the seed to fall to the ground. Also, the feeder will tip over when flying, spilling more seeds. So it's a good little feeder, just not as effective at scaring away greedy birds.

The only birds I saw in this bird feeder were tits, but I was stuck at work all day so who knows, there could be more. I had this for about a week before the squirrels got to it and somehow removed the bottom and snapped off the tabs to snap it back into place. Now it's just garbage. And it wasn't even filled with the seeds they like. No, there are no misleading claims that it is squirrel free, but I would only recommend this feeder if you live in an area where there are no squirrels, for…
