📻 Sony Dream Machine ICF-CD843V: Digital Tuner CD Clock Radio (Discontinued Model) Review

The first one I liked the size and the sound. CD player jumps after 2 months. I've tried many CDs and all of a sudden it jumps like a player. I spent almost 60.00 for what was described as new, everything works great, the only downside was some paint on the side. I couldn't send it back or get my money back. Don't repeat my mistake. Make sure it works, and if it doesn't, you'll get a full refund from the seller.

Overall I am happy with my purchase. The device is a bit large and has a chunky shape. Nice clear sound, well lit display with dimmer and nap function - it's GREAT. bad no. 2-5-7 function. Different wake-up times should be enabled/disabled as needed, ie weekday weekend. I prefer to install it and forget about the 2-5-7 (Timex) perk. I ordered this radio to replace my original Sony Dream Machine from the 90's. The order arrived quickly, was packaged very well and exceeded the seller's description. We bought two refurbished units (ICF-CD843V) through Revain Warehouse Deals - they look brand new. So far it's working fine, if there are any changes I'll update. We mostly listen to AM talk radio - excellent reception - same performance as three portable radios (ICF-M410V) we've used for years. This is a GREAT little CD Radio Alarm Clock! I've looked at MANY newer (2007) offerings and for the money it's very hard to beat. The CD drive is QUIET, so you can fall asleep listening to a CD and you won't be disturbed by changing tracks. The blue-green display is easy to read (contrary to many reviews) (the yellow displays in other Sony models aren't as easy to read) - the dimmer lowers the light level to about the lowest possible level, while still allowing the display to be seen at night -
