DO NOT believe the good reviews. These shelves are terrible. Not only were the edges of all three shelves broken, but the manufacturer didn't pre-drill holes in the right place, so the fasteners don't line up with the shelf when you try to install them. Why all the good reviews? I think there are too many free things that pass off as 5 stars.

Bought 3 packs of 9 shelves. Each box had 3 shelves as indicated. We use them to make cat ladders on our wall. As other people have said, we bought stronger drywall anchors from the hardware store because we wanted them to be strong enough for our cats to stand on. They're still little kittens but it looks like they'll be strong enough. They look great and were quick and easy to assemble.

. Only one received. Even the paper in the box says it's a set of 3 with a picture of 3 of them, but there was only one in the set. I will not use the supplied anchors or screws as I have read many reviews of terrible quality hardware and upon receipt see that the anchors are not anchors but in a sense just plastic braces and not anchors. These bottom screws keep the shelf from falling off the wall, but they DO NOT tighten on the bars in those recessed pre-drilled holes, making the shelf wobble, wobble and hang more than 1/4 inch from level. I had to rotate the shelf so the screws were marked on top and on the bars. I then drilled a small pilot hole for these sheet metal screws to go in. They are installed differently than most floating shelves. Instead of clipping them onto metal brackets, there are two holes in the back of the shelf. The bracket is U-shaped with two long bars that fit into holes on the back of the shelf. Because they're deeper these bars make them really strong - and I found fitting the bracket very easy because I could use my spirit level in the middle of the bracket - no need to measure eight different spots just to find a still crooked shelf to have…

These were the only small floating shelves I could find. I used to use IKEA but they don't make little ones that small. The bracket can be attached to the wall very well; but the bracket doesn't hold onto the shelf very well as it wobbles and isn't very stable. These shelves are fine for my use in the bathroom but only AFTER a lot of whining and gnashing of teeth. It turns out that the up arrow printed on the metal temples is not quite centered on the temple! Don't assume the large stamped arrow is centered, although most people would assume it is. I've had no issues with other reviewers' wall anchors but that doesn't stop this product from being cheap. The part attached to the wall actually has 8 wall plugs and 8 screws. So far, so good.
