I daisy chained three of these mics (one USB mic) to record a 3 week trial in a large non-acoustic courtroom on my computer and they did great is working. I could hear every word. There may be more sensitive mics out there, but for the price you can't beat them. The fact that they can be connected to each other makes them indispensable in large rooms. I highly recommend them.

There is a lot of confusion in the reviews, some say it's too quiet, others say it needs phantom power. So here's the actual info: It does NOT require phantom power (48V) but does require DC biasing which most devices provide (2-5 volts). If your device does not provide this direct current or if you connect it in reverse, the volume will be very low.

I use it to record the audio of our apartment building's board meetings. The room must be at least 20 x 35 feet and people must be seated throughout. All voices are very well recorded. Some of our participants speak very softly, but can be heard very well.

Delivered on time and product as advertised. Update 02/12/2018: I used this microphone in combination with my iPhone and a small speaker to create a conference system. See attached photo for cable placement. The speaker has a self-contained rechargeable battery. I've found this "system" to work better than some wired office systems. It also works well in remote areas like a construction site office.

I am very happy with this microphone. I am a court clerk and use it in the courtroom as a backup for my shorthand machine. I used to have a microphone from a company that claims to supply our industry, used batteries that had to be constantly replaced, and had terrible sound quality. I'm much happier with it and don't have to set battery change reminders and hope I have spares. I know it wasn't much in stock when I bought mine, but I would definitely recommend it.

Nice little microphone for home use. I've owned it for almost a year now. The range is okay, but not as good as I would like. I would say it works best within 5 feet or so. Being omnidirectional is good, and it seems true. I haven't noticed any difference in how it picks up the conversation from a certain direction.
