The 3rd time I used it, the mouthpiece came off the mouthpiece. I would have given it lower stars if it hadn't been really useful for giving my dogs water from my water bag. But I'm still disappointed he did it as I only tried to remove the dust cap. Everything worked fine again, but how many times will it work before it finally breaks?

A great mouthpiece if you like it really mouth-filling. The pacifier is big and I like it. I never knew what I was missing in a hydration system until I said suck on one of these. It revolves around the tube insert, which can be a bit annoying at times. But it's worth it if you really like big nipples on the water source. The original (military style) non-bite valve works fine, but I've found that it always tends to leak when I close it. This bite valve is very comfortable and closes immediately when you stop biting. Presumably the Non-Bite is easier to use when you are very tired and don't want to use jaw strength or a helmet chin strap is preventing you from biting properly. In any case, they can be easily replaced thanks to the quick coupling.

This should be the standard bite valve for a tactical swelling bladder! The one that came with the original requires touching a valve to turn it on and off, which is a terrible idea. One thing, however, was that the lid was too tight on mine. I had to hit it with a file to get it to come out properly. This bite valve is easy to reach for drinking and very compact in a closed-loop downhill bike helmet. Twist to unlock is intuitive and relatively easy.
