Failed - tried with three AA batteries or with a USB plug. Nothing has happened. Instructions are not included. Nothing happens when I press the power button. It's very cheap and looks like aluminum foil wrapped around a pipe cleaner.

Such a cute tree but I bought it to use as a night light in my daughter's room and it was too bright for that. So after some thought I decided to add flowers. Well, that's very cute, but I spent an extra $40 to get it working for me, which is way beyond any night light budget, and that's why I only gave it 4 stars.

What I like: The branches are well adjustable, the light works well, it's beautiful and durable. I winced a bit when I took it out of the box because it looked pretty cheap and the "trunk" was wrapped in a very shiny aluminum foil ribbon that doesn't look like it so bright. It shines in the photo just like in real life. Looks like a set of wires wrapped in tinfoil. It's silver until you turn on the light, and it emits a golden glow. My desk has all the gold accessories, and without the lights, the tree looks both cheap and out of place. However, it is nice when you turn on the light. I didn't want to leave the tree and shine, but I like the soft, happy light. You need to "expand" the branches of the tree, you can arrange them any way you want, and then "connect" to the base. You can use batteries or connect it with a cable (you'll need a plug or socket that you can connect a USB cable to. When I first took it out of the box I wanted to put it back in the box and send it back straight away.
