Works well and looks great!

I have used this to replace the glass in my entertainment center and it looks and works fantastic. The IR penetrates the fabric and sound of my speakers, allowing heat to escape from my devices to keep them cooler.

  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Can't remember

Good quality at a reasonable price

Good product and easy to work with. The first time I played around with stuff like this I was able to make 6 grill frame inserts and coat them the first night I got them considering it took about 4.5 hours. Other than that they turned out to be good and the fabric seems to be of good quality and hopefully breathable enough for my use. The time will show.

  • Decent performance

Excellent finish for a restoration project.

More than enough fabric to cover two Cerwin-Vega RE-30 grilles (17" x 30"). Looks the same as the OEM except for the cat scratches. I wanted to order directly from the seller but Prime Shipping got it to me faster. The kit I used to replace the foam around the woofers was missing glue. Shoe goo worked just as well. I highly recommend checking out the Simply Speakers tutorial videos.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Update available

Wonderful fabric!

I remade the speaker grille/cover from this material. I use glue to attach it to the plastic frame and it works great (using the manufacturer recommended glue). It's a beautiful material with enough stretch and elasticity to work with. It's durable and won't crack, it's even a little difficult to cut, so it's resistant to tearing and abrasion during installation. I actually wasn't expecting this stuff to be that good when I placed the order, excellent value for money.

Perfect for a 3D printer accent if you can imagine

Was working on a 3D printer project and was inspired by another hobbyist. So I didn't look for fabric for the speakers. The perfect underlay accent, easy to apply and works great with superglue. Not your typical use case, but I wanted something to hide the wiring and still provide some airflow for cooling, and this fits the bill. I would say if you install this because it's some sort of plastic/polymer that brings the lighter to the edges very quickly, preventing fraying and leaving you with a…

Excellent combination of strength and resilience

60" x 36" Jet Black Speaker Grille, A-569 was purchased as part of an upgrade project for my 32 year old KEF Reference 104/2. The original fabric had grayed over time, and one grille showed scars left by a house cat. The new grill fabric showed an excellent combination of strength and elasticity. I had a hard time navigating the curves and contours of the KEF 104/2 grille frames and had to go back and rearrange sections of fabric several times to get it right. The fabric held up well to the…

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Appearance

This is a type of plastic jersey that is quite stretchy in one direction and slightly stretchy in the other. It's dense enough that almost all light is visible from the other side. So if the speaker enclosure is dark inside, it will basically hide what's behind it. I used to "fill in" the large hole in the case that housed the subwoofer. I built a wooden frame just slightly larger than the hole and attached this fabric with 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. I used a soldering iron to melt the holes…

Good product! at speaker parts and components

I bought this speaker grille cloth to make my ugly speakers a little less ugly. I'm working on bringing new life to my father's old McIntosh system from the late 70's. Loudspeakers have seen better days. After reworking the woofers, I decided to focus on the grill covers. Actually the first step was to convince the woman to let her in the house lol. The first photo shows what they looked like when new. The ML-2M (M for Mediterranean housing design) had a green curtain behind the grill covers…

Great Speaker Grille Cloth (and Pseudo Air Filter)

Short Review: I've bought this speaker grille cloth twice, used it on four full grilles and one air filter and they all turned out great. This material is very high quality and is a bit thicker than what comes with most speakers, but I prefer this thickness as it feels more solid and durable. It is acoustically transparent but optically opaque. In one instance I even used it as an AC return pre-filter of sorts, as the media room design required that the return airflow had to be routed directly…
