Do not buy ignition parts

Do not buy this item. When I received the coil it was cracked and damaged which resulted in my having to take my car to a repair shop. Since the coil was damaged, this further ruined my car. Don't waste money.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Price difference is worth it

Purchased for my 2009 Subaru Forester 2.5 X Premium. I didn't want to spend over $200 on an original Subaru coil because I knew they were exactly the same, just say Subaru. It's worth the money and does the same thing.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Doesn't fit 2011 Subaru Impreza 2.5L

Well I have to give one star because the description says it doesn't fit the 2011 Subaru Impreza 2.5L wagon with automatic transmission well and doesn't have straight pins. 1 and 3 are swapped with 2 and 4, so the spark plug leads are too short.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons

Only lasted >30 days

Lasted less than 30 days and started to skip cylinders 3 and 4. That spool failed, replaced with a new OEM spool and the problem is resolved. Now I have no return window as I have delayed returning the item. I will not buy again.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some faults

Mine lasted about 2 years with about 35,000 km before it broke down. On my 2010 Subaru Forester the unit is on top and easy to access so I wouldn't mind replacing this part again as it's inexpensive compared to the standard coil pack which only lasts 95k and costs three times as much.

Pros
  • change price
