Very good product, everything you need works perfectly

Very good product, everything you need works perfectly. The only thing I had to change was the end of the ground connection. The head is larger than the factory head. Ok guys, you did it. It's easy to fix

Looks like the real deal!

Purchased to restore a '68 El Camino SS. The quality looks good and it fits perfectly. Checked with multimeter, measured resistance. I haven't put gas in the tank or checked the fuel gauge on the dash, but I assume it's working fine.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Fuel gauge transmitter

Good fuel gauge transmitter. I bought this for my 1970 Chevelle, installed it yesterday and it seems pretty accurate. The transmission unit I had in it before was an aftermarket unit which wasn't great and always left you wondering how much gas you actually had in the tank. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Pros
  • So far satisfied
Cons
  • Good, but not very good

No complaints good for fuel tanks

This is a typical fuel lift unit for old Chevrolets. I replaced the original (non-working) block from my Chevelle 68 and noticed that the floats were different. My original device had a rubber float and his device uses a plastic float. Not that it would matter much, unless you're worried about the contest judges dropping the tank to check accuracy. I'm just glad my fuel gauge is working now!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I'll write later

Spectra Classic FG91A Fuel Tank Dispatch Block

I used this on my classic 1970 Monte Carlo which was rebuilt a few weeks ago before I sold the car after having owned it for 46 years. The original transmitter module has decided to go bad after so many years. This Spectra fuel tank sender unit has worked great in my car. The hardest part was removing the fuel tank. Luckily I have an elevator in my shed so with two people it wasn't too bad to remove the tank which only had about 5 gallons of fuel left. I wouldn't want to do the job with a fullโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Nothing

It works well on non-Chevy vehicles

Note. I've been an auto technician for over 10 years so I understand that new parts don't always fit properly, especially on older cars. I looked at this and other senders long before I bought it. I bought it for a 1970 Cutlass even though the title says it's for a Chevy. I suspect it will fit many of the 1968-1972 GM A-bodies (rear wheel drive of course) since they basically use the same tanks. I compared everything to the old transmitter and it is almost identical in size. The exception isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
