Works great: Harmonic Balancers

I bought this to replace a crankshaft bolt on a 2000 Chevy Blazer 4.3L. I removed the old one and it was a good quality replacement.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Will not fit all

Throw out the lock washer

When you try to tighten the leveling screw, the lock washer will loosen and pop out. Better get rid of everything together. Just attach a small padlock.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There's nothing here

Screw too short.: Replacement parts

This screw is 1/4 inch shorter than the original screw, making it impossible to mount the pulley and harmonic balancer. waste of money. Revain if you read send me a refund!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • not fancy

Wrong size! in Motors & Motor Parts

Product Length NOT 2 1/2 inches. That's 2 1/4 inches. Total length including head is 2 3/16 inches. It was important because with the thick washer there wasn't enough thread to hook.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Small

The bolts are not long enough for use with the secondary crank pulley

The bolt was too short in thread depth and length. If you're using the stock crank pulley, you'll need a longer bolt, about 1/2 longer than the class 8 bolt, which is thick enough for washing machines and pressure washers. Bought for my 68C10 SBC 350

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Functionality

Perfect for my 1990 Jimmy 4.3

I don't know why others have trouble with this. It's a little longer than my stock screw and the washer is a little thinner than stock. Overall, the Specter is slightly longer with its shim and fits well. I use Loctite, not the lock washer that comes with the kit. The cost is low only because a screw and washer is expensive.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Clean
