It was nice. Now dirt in the air intake

Same as others here. The plastic holder has deformed to the point of air leakage. I heated it, smoothed it out and deformed it again. I'll try drilling and piercing it which doesn't work, it's $0.12 a pound.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Sturdy 4 " MAF housing for a variety of uses!

Used it to make a mass airflow housing for my VW VR6 turbo and with very little modification it worked and still works perfectly. Much better than the $100-$150 options from URO tune and ECS!

Pros
  • Years of trial
Cons
  • poorly thought out

he fits The plastic part is functional but not rigid enough.

Welds are good, screws are well threaded. The MAF from my motor in the LS3 box fits perfectly into the plastic nozzle that came with it. The plastic part flexes when tightening the o-ring screws, but appears to create an adequate seal.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Perfect as an LS replacement

Used in my LS3 replacement. I did not use the plastic insert. DMRV fits without problems, with all necessary equipment. It's 4", so it fits perfectly with my intake manifold that I put together.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Fits

Fits perfectly, but I would have preferred a black case.

I used this to install an OEM LS7 MAF sensor on my 2009 Pontiac G8 GT. I already had a Rotofab cold air intake and was able to install the housing with the current fittings that came with the Rotofab air intake without the need for new fittings. High-quality welds and screw holes as well as O-rings included. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is because there was supposed to be a black variant. The brushed aluminum stands out in the engine bay and I think the black option is sure to sell…

A good adapter is Air Intake

I used it on a Pontiac G8 when I switched to a rotating cold air intake and LS7 MAF. I didn't have to use plastic inserts. My only comment: it would be nice if there was an option to do it in black. Several people have painted this adapter mint black which looks great on this adapter allowing it to match the finish of the other air intake components. A shiny finish would be nice if I used a stainless steel intake manifold, but it looks out of place as it's the only shiny part in the entire…

Works best in replacement parts

Great price and looks. I gave it 4 stars because there are NO instructions on what the black plastic sleeves are for. If I knew that they should increase the speed on the sensor to reduce tip stumbling etc that would be great and I would try that and not have to adjust a tip. I just met a Specter rep in the car. I'll meet him there, and now they threw these adapters. I use a Buick GN 87 product with a larger 60 series PTE S cap and have an aftermarket management system and I've used LS1 3.5"…
