Falsely claims it's preloaded with $5.

It comes with ZERO funding. It is fraud to say that this is preloaded with 30 days of service. After I activated it by funding it with $5 from a credit card it wouldn't make any sense to return the SIM for a refund. In the same order where I paid $4.88 for this "preloaded" SIM i bought two empty SIM cards for $1.38. I don't know if Speedtalk will work with my GPS trackers and wanted to have a prepaid SIM to see if it supports my devices. Maybe other vendors sell a preloaded card for Speedtalk but

Pros
  • Easy to track usage and manage account
Cons
  • The monthly recharge can be cumbersome

Eh- wish I would’ve went a different route.

Got this for a smart watch for my child. It was a lengthy process to activate the SIM card. The website looks like a 10 year old designed it. There is no easy way to cancel the forced monthly subscription plan without emailing someone and hoping they cancel it. Somehow minutes and SMS keep getting used and the device is off. Have gotten a few calls from some random numbers and it charges you a minute even if you don’t answer.

Pros
  • Perfect for those who only use their phone for occasional calls and texts
Cons
  • The SIM card might require additional accessories

You get what you pay for

Affordable phone plans, perfect for kids who only need base use. My kids very excited to setup his first phone, works for first call but failed later. Customer service was great and patience, try many ways solve issue but no one successful.

Pros
  • Triple-cut SIM card to fit a variety of devices
Cons
  • Difficulty in activating service

Needs a lot of your information to activate

I got this for a 12-year-old kid to bring to school. With all this school violence across the country, I insisted that my kid must have a phone with her when in school. I thought this will be good, but, in order to activate the sim, you need to provide your name, full address, working phone number, verifiable email address, bank-issued credit card, and so on. Compared to applying for a mortgage, the only thing they did not ask for is my income tax return and financial statement. Definitely not…

Pros
  • Can save users hundreds of dollars compared to other mobile plans
Cons
  • The billing is often inconsistent

I have had poor experience with speedtalk, still for cheap service.so I have iOS -- unable to get MMS messages, had to ask tech support. Android -- no problem.Port existing phone number? unable to do that via their website, their customer service guy was sitting in a cafe somewhere and couldn't hear me. so that didn't work.mail customer service. wants CC number without telling me how much they want to charge? this is supposed to be prepaid. so returning this one, horrible experience.

Pros
  • Additional data can be added as needed
Cons
  • The service is not available everywhere

Never worked on my review.

* update now they have a customer care department and claim they’ve always had one. And they are refusing a refund. There are literally no calls on this card because I was never able to make them or receive them. Do not ever purchase this* This card never worked they’ve charged me five dollars for the first month five dollars for the second month and I’ve kept trying to use it. Now when I call customer service the phone number doesn’t exist. Do not buy this.

Pros
  • SIM Cards
Cons
  • SIM card may not work in all areas

You won't be able to try data with this card

I unlocked my Iphone with my carrier and I wanted to test that I can use a prepaid card with it, before upgrading to a larger prepaid card. I will say that I was able to prove incoming/outgoing phone worked along with texting. However the data was a very slow snail pace, couldn't even pull up a simple FB page or get notifications that my garage door opened. At most eventually an email would come through several minutes after being sent. I reached out to their help desk asking why I couldn't…

Pros
  • Excellent customer service
Cons
  • The service is not very reliable

Great for Kids Smartwatch

Overall you get what you pay for. So most of the poor reviews are from people who expect a $5 plan to mimic a $60 plan and that is not the case here.I purchased this for a kids smart watch that only uses 2g networks and I am happy with the service. Again, it is a 2g network that the watch is on so you will never get perfect coverage. In fact if my son goes into his friend’s basement he no longer has service. But I did not deduct stars for this because I already knew this going in. All in all it

Pros
  • Wide coverage area
Cons
  • The text messages are limited

Endless billing for a $5 sim card

It didn't work in my device, and canceling the payment is a pain in the butt. These guys have continued to charge me for six months, even though I requested to stop several times. Pretty frustrating. Stay away.

Pros
  • Superior value for the price
Cons
  • The coverage area is limited

Easy and Simple Setup

Extremely easy and simple to set up. Go to website, enter SIM card number and a few personal detail then turn on phone. The rest was auto-magical and the phone was configured by the carrier. Great!

Pros
  • No long-term commitment required
Cons
  • The customer service is not available 24/7

requires credit card information

I suppose I was ignorant when I order this item. I thought it was a pre paid sim card - its kinda advertised that way. throw it in, and go. but no so. when you sign up, they want your credit card information. Sure, the first month I guess is 'free'. but you have to call and get cancel it or else it continues to charge your credit card. which is a pain in the ass for the extra hassle. it certainly is not an anonymous prepaid sim card.

Pros
  • Ideal for kids, older adults, or anyone who only needs basic connectivity
Cons
  • The connection drops frequently

Some things that sound too good to be true are just that

This is NOT the only deal where you buy a SIM and get the same amount in credit once you activate. And some other companies offer even better deals. But that is not a good way to pick a cellular service. Still, I decided to give them a try and my SIM could not be activated. I got an error message that said they would not activate my SIM because I already had several activations using the same credit card. That was not true at all. I have never used SpeedTalk and moreover, I rely on Google Voice

Pros
  • Easy activation process
Cons
  • The billing system is not clear

What an awesome sim card

It was very easy to setup, their website is intuitive and it’s an amazing product! I am a happy customer. This item didn’t work with the watch it was recommended for?!

Pros
  • I like the quick easy set up
Cons
  • This item didn’t work with the watch it was recommended for?

Very limited service.

It took days to activate my child's smart watch & the service area is extremely limited. This plan claims to work with a parental app that also doesn't do the things it claims. Dissatisfied.

Pros
  • Cheap for its value
Cons
  • Not suitable for heavy smartphone users

Purchased the sim card to use while in the US on vacation. However to complete the activation a credit card is needed from either US, Canada, or Mexico. My credit card didn't work since it was not from the US, Canada or Mexico. Totally disappointed.

Pros
  • No contract, providing maximum flexibility
Cons
  • SIM card may require additional accessories to work
