Ideal for finer work

This is exactly the same needle that comes with the stapler except it's twice as thin. This is perfect for any project that requires a finer needle and thread. Make sure you buy some FINE Speed embroidery thread to use with this needle.

Did the job and worked well

These little pins were perfect for a repair I was making on a road boot for our boat. Other reviewers said the needles break easily and I was concerned about that. I broke one, but that was because I pushed the needle sideways. Put in a new #4 and have tried not to do it again and had no problems. This is very similar to a sewing machine needle and if you move them sideways instead of up and down they will also break. However, if you pull the yarn straight away from the stitch and not to the…

It broke after 53 years

In 1967 I bought a Speedy Stitcher sewing awl and hand sewed a fully enclosed fabric top for my Jeep (except for the doors). I couldn't afford to buy a top and the weather was rainy. Since then I've used an awl (the same needle) to sew numerous belts, shoes, an archery quiver, knife sheaths, and many other leather goods and camping gear. I used several spools of thread.
