Original Part: Shocks, Struts & Suspension

I replaced a broken Moog upper ball joint with this on my 1995 Jeep Cherokee and am hoping it will last longer than the 6 year old Moog ball joint in 2013.

No new hardware! in Shocks, Struts and Suspension

Comes with a new cotter pin in place of a new lock. Really disappointing considering these are Dana Spicer Joints. Although the joints themselves look fine. Installed on Jeep Cherokee 2000.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

OEM is the right choice

If the original Spicer ball joint lasted 90,000 miles on my TJ I think I'll stick with it. In fact, the only reason I change the old one is because I change the axle seals there, so why not do preventive maintenance. The old ones were actually in good condition. You can't go wrong with Spicer.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good but not great
