Perfect for computers and accessories

The product works fine, both splitters work fine. One of these is used for a router without PoE capability, and the router works better than with the original power supply. The other is used with a camera and has no problems.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • sad packaging

Doesn't support PoE on output port

Purchased to tap 12V from PoE to power a 6W spotlight while maintaining 48V PoE to the security camera. This product isolates PoE from the camera (output port) and transmits data only. Thus, the camera does not work, although the illuminator is now powered. Doesn't work for my application.

Pros
  • My pleasure
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Poe splitters enable most WiFi cameras to work with Poe signal!

They said my cameras weren't PoE compatible so I had a 50ft WiFi camera extender in the attic. Then I tried splitters and the attic was much tidier, now only category 6 cable goes to the cameras. The splitter works well with both brands of WiFi cameras.

Pros
  • Worth the money

Outputs 12V 1A. Some other guys don't.

Does what it's supposed to do. The two devices I tested actually deliver the advertised output power (12V, 1A). One was 12.1v and the other 11.9v rated at 1.0A but close enough. It's worth mentioning because other similar devices I've measured in the past haven't shown the same results.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

I had to run a 140m Ethernet cable between two switches. The Ethernet standard says 100 meters is the limit. So all you have to do is put another switch somewhere in the middle so that each length doesn't exceed 100 meters and you're all set. You can't just use the FF RJ45 adapter, it's passive and no different than a single 140m cable. The middle device must actively receive the data and then retransmit (repeat) it, just like a switch does. But what if there is no current at the midpoint? This

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
