Really good solution for PoE on Lightning devices

My company uses iPhones and iPads commercially and we needed a PoE solution. We ended up testing both PoE Texas devices and the Belkin solution. These PoE Texas devices worked great. Plug and play right out of the box, even with older devices like iPhone 6s phones. They are compact and support GigE. Belkin's adapters allow you to use a Lightning-based power supply (making it both a regular Ethernet adapter + power port and PoE), but otherwise it's at least twice the size of these adapters and…

Works as advertised to power my iPad Air 2 via POE+

. Because of the lengthwise orientation of the wires, a straight line from the Poe port to the splitter case, to the separate DC and Ethernet network at the other end, it's difficult to find an electrical box that can easily accommodate the device , even if with a 2-way switch box. I will most likely be using a low voltage open case box and will need to construct some sort of retaining wire to prevent the device from hanging on the POE cable and falling off the wall.

Works well (V5) for computers and accessories

DOA, lets ethernet traffic through, but that's it. The output connector reads 0V. Update July 7, 2013: After talking to Wifi Texas support, it turned out that the splitter I received is version 3. 3.6), while both of my switches (and most I've encountered) implement mode B (power on pins 4.5 - 7.8). At the moment I'm waiting for a replacement, v5, which I understand can do both. I will update this review as soon as I receive it. Wifi-Texas, please update the description to include the modes…
