So far good for Hubs

I bought this USB hub because I have already used all the USB ports on my Mac Mini. The transmission speed is a bit slow, otherwise I have a problem with the product.

Looks ok, not reliable.

Good looks and buttons let you turn off the webcam. However, it does not work with more than 2-3 devices. I suspect it just can't provide enough power for all devices. The devices I tested it with included a keyboard, mouse, USB microphone, and webcam. I replaced it with an Anker model (3x the price) and it worked. You get what you pay for.

erratic behavior; out of service fast

I like the idea of this product but the unit I received was poorly made. Connections kept coming in and out, causing my USB sticks to eject "wrong" over and over again. After a few hours all ports failed. Very disappointed in the quality of this product, would happily pay double for a reliable one if anyone can recommend.

Doesn't work with networking products

The only thing it's good for is the charger. It is not recognized by any of my computers. Very disappointed! I really liked the aluminum finish.

Started smoking from the USB ports

After unpacking, I plugged the USB hub into my extension cord, it started smoking. I'll stop right away and come back. Also note that nothing else was connected to the hub.

Does not charge devices quickly.

I've been using this USB hub for a few days now. It has nice blue LEDs that are not too bright. Would have given it 5 stars but gave it 4 stars because it doesn't charge my devices quickly. Data transfer is pretty fast.
