If you understand their purpose, they work great.

If you know what you're doing, they work. I used them to connect two different LANs to a remote guest house where I only had a usable CAT5 as the second line was damaged during the initial pre-wiring by another company. The second network could not run on the same network/LAN as the main network. The VLAN switch is not working due to broadcast traffic on the secondary LAN.

Pros
  • This adapter differs from a network router or network switch without IP address assignment.
Cons
  • Functionality

I used it to connect two cameras to a Category 6 cable. Of course you cannot use POE if they are used for this purpose. I know I could save money by splitting the cable myself, but it looks cleaner (no loose wires). So I gave it up because of the value for money because honestly I could do without it and save my money, but overall I gave it 5 stars for its cleanliness and ease of installation and it works great. Note that these are two 100Mbps connections, not 1000Mbps, as you need all 8 wiresโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The adapter separates the originally installed Ethernet cables (8 pins) into two groups (1236/4578). The two groups each transfer data with a purely physical connection that does not have the function of assigning IP addresses.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Excellent way to add 100Mbps connectivity

We have a Cat6 ethernet trunk connecting the modem to the MDF. Our ISP offers a data transfer rate of 100 Mbps. We needed a way to add connectivity without running another Cat6 backbone to bring our HVAC systems online. I used one of these splitters at each end of the backbone, connecting port #1 to our router/modem, respectively, and connecting port #2 to the network switch and the network port on the HVAC system. The Cat6 trunk is about 300 feet away. I tested the speeds before and afterโ€ฆ

Pros
  • . Follow the instructions in the pictures to use a pair of RJ45 splitters at the same time. The speed of each cable group (1 and 2) can only reach 100 megabytes. And the signal transmission of the two cables of the group will not interfere with each other. The RJ45-A interface connector "1" corresponds to the RJ45-B interface connector "1". The RJ45-A interface connector "2" corresponds to the RJ45-B interface connector "2". They may not be converted.
Cons
  • Slightly torn

PLAYER GIRL ALLOWED!

HAPPY CUSTOMER! I'm a gamer and bought these along with signal boosters for my work PC and gaming console. I'm a little tired of shuffling cables between weekends and weekdays. Between splitters and boosters, I experience better usage on my work PC and much less lag and frame drops on my console when playing my MMOS. Very easy and quick to install!

Pros
  • Cat 5e Cable
Cons
  • New Competitors Appeared

Works great as advertised.

Not sure how this would work. I still don't know how it works. But my Smart TV and PS5 only get download speeds of around 14MB/s over Wi-Fi for some reason. And I didn't want to run a second Cat6 cable in my living room. So I decided to give it a try and now both my TV and PS5 are getting the full 100MB/s input and 10MB/s upload that my plan offers. Works as advertised. I'm still not sure how it works, but I don't think I need it. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Expensive
