🏋️ A&R Wire Lace Tightener for Sports Review

I roller skate 4-5 days a week. This wonderful tool allows me to tighten and loosen waxed shoelaces. It also allows me to do it in record time. Sturdy and not deformed.

This is a solid skate wrench as I remember it from my youth. The typical problem of the handle being uncomfortable and cutting your hand is present with this wrench but can easily be solved by wrapping it with tape.

My son plays ice hockey. Because of the arthritis, I couldn't pull my shoelaces. Excellent goods! Easy to use, inexpensive. However, I would suggest attaching it to your bag with a string or something. I lost mine within a week. I will buy 2 in my next order. Good product!

It is small and difficult to grasp. Those of us who skate know how to pull the laces. I can use it for small adjustments, but I usually toss it aside for a large allen wrench when I need to tighten the laces.

Think how many years this handy gadget can serve you. It will outlive you. Why bother tightening the laces with just your fingers or a handy tool that's ineffective? It's probably true that it's not for everyone. I know what it was for me. Details matter. It might even improve your posture.

This does its job very well. I have a folding cable, it's not as fleshy as this one so it bends easily. I didn't find this one to flex at all. I like the concave design of the grip as it keeps loose bits of skin from getting caught in the gap (between the "end" of the grip wire and where the shaft just bends). This differs from similar products that have a flat (not concave) handle. I hope this description makes sense. I have both styles and both do the job very well; but I prefer this design…
