Excellent product, just what I needed. I wish the product description was a bit better, I didn't know if this part was right for me so I guessed and just got lucky. But like I said, the product itself is good.

I think it will do the trick but it seems pretty cheap. Solid cast aluminum with sleeve. Dull, rough surface. Not the most attractive base in the world, but it will work. Also asks you to cut a hole in your 4 inch deck. I was thinking maybe 2 to 3 inches, not 4. You get what you pay for.

I bought this base to replace the old one that was on my boat when it was new. Years of exposure to sunlight and heat cracked the plastic insert in the base's walls. Without this cheap insert, the base wobbles and makes the seat unsafe. I found a piece of roof skirt, cut it to size and it works great.
