Tough, reliable hole saw

I bought this to cut about 64 holes in a board of MDF for some large Lego storage boxes. It worked perfectly. Always cut quickly and cleanly.

Pros
  • Carbide tip for longer life and clean cuts
Cons
  • Expensive

Works great in hole saws and accessories

Received in 2 days. Used on Hardy Plank for outdoor light boxes (pancake boxes). Works great. This item also fits a standard 3/8 mount, but I have a Spyder mount and it's great too. An electrician should have an item for an endurance board.

Pros
  • Cutting depth up to 2 inches
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Be careful with this tool!

I have bruises from the recoil of this hole saw. When it snags, it spins the drill so hard that the drill spins and hits the closest object, like my forearm. Also, the holes it cuts in 2x4 are rough and ugly. Definitely a fine work tool. OTOH, it pits and it's a lot easier to clean the core than other pits I've used. And it seems just as sharp after a few holes. It just gets stuck too often.

Pros
  • Cuts five times faster than standard hole saws
Cons
  • Expensive
