Great for sore knees

Short handle 152mm helped with knee pain. If you are an adult with knee pain, this can make a difference. Also move the seat higher and slightly backwards.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Doubtful

Powerful, with interchangeable sprockets.

I use these cranks to drill new holes and make shorter cranks because they are thick in the middle and not hollow like new disposable cranks (Shimano cough, cough). They are durable, have interchangeable chainrings and a nice color scheme.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Some bugs

The length is perfect for me! :)

I love short cranks and this one fits me perfectly! However, note that it is not threaded for the crank removal tool, which will be a little tricky if you need to switch to a different crank. You may also need to grind or file some alloy to fit the other sprocket. But otherwise great grip! Includes both hands!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No Instructions

Accurate description, good price and just what I need for my girlfriends.

Exact description Good price and just what I need for my girlfriend's 13" bike frame, she is 4ft 10 so the 170mm cranks she previously had were a nuisance . These cranks are very well assembled and appear to be ok, in fact you can even remove the chainrings from the drive crank and convert them to a 1 speed system.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

Good quality short 152mm kids cranks are rare

While probably not a common use for this part, my bike mechanic buddy recommended ordering these for hard-to-find kids 152mm cranks . He dropped the SR Suntour XCT Jr's triple rings and attached the cranks to the 30-tooth front ring. for a custom upgrade 1x11 Shimano Deore XT mountain bike for my almost 10 year old 24+ son.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Quality

Lowest common denominator Cheap, heavy, ugly bike component

I bought it because of the short crank length, but the metal it's made of is so cheap and heavy it doesn't even feel like aluminum. The chainrings and hardware are all steel (excellent in durability, lousy in weight). Suitable for use on a cheap bike that is used less than 10 times a year. Besides, and you have to do it for your own sake to get a better role.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Short cranks, 9 gears and chain guard: what's not to like?

Like it: The perfect addition to a recreational model for an older friend - short cranks, 9 or less versatility, economy quad and chainguard, all at a reasonable price. I've already done a few builds with these cranks, one for a former soldier with lame knees who can now climb mountains without pain, another for an older friend who rides with his younger grandkids. Bicycles are not required. To be expensive, they just have to meet the needs of the person. This crankset does exactly what it says

  • This is great
Cons
  • Damaged

Fantastic price and not just for kids

I'm a 5'1" adult with occasional hip flexor and knee issues so I bought this crankset to limit range of motion to something more comfortable. The gain ratios (see Sheldon Brown) have not changed significantly on my particular cassette. I can no longer feel my hips and my knee hardly bothers me when riding. I think it has more to do with better glute activation with shorter cranks. it really reduces the range of movement. Some paint chipped around the screw hole during assembly (probably due to…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Reliability

I've had a quality crankset on one of my recumbents for a while, but the leverage is only 135mm. I like short cranks, but they're too short even for me. Experimentation has shown that 155mm arms in flex work best for me, so last year I decided to replace this crank this spring. This 152mm arm Suntour connecting rod has rings with the same number of teeth as the old connecting rod and was very inexpensive; I figured the worst that could happen is that I don't like it and it will only cost me…
